Five grades, honestly applied.

Most resale runs on three grades, which leaves a lot of room to list a worse pair at a better name. Five is narrow enough that a grade means something and wide enough that we never have to round up.

  1. PREMIUM+ 1 / 5

    Effectively unworn. Deadstock or as close as the resale market gets: no creasing, clean soles, original insoles, box where we have it.

  2. PREMIUM 2 / 5

    Worn a handful of times and looked after. Light toe creasing at most, midsoles clean, everything structurally untouched.

  3. EXCELLENT 3 / 5

    Clearly worn, clearly cared for. Visible creasing and light sole wear, no damage, nothing that shortens the life of the pair.

  4. GOOD 4 / 5

    Honest wear. Creasing throughout, some discolouration or scuffing, tread still good. These are made to be worn again.

  5. FAIR 5 / 5

    The most worn we will list. Real marks, real mileage, and priced for it. Everything is stated and photographed before it goes up.

What we look at

  • Uppers

    Creasing, scuffing, discolouration and any separation at the seams.

  • Midsoles

    Yellowing, compression, glue lines and cracking along the foam.

  • Outsoles

    Tread depth and even wear, which is what tells you how far a pair has actually walked.

  • Insoles and lining

    Wear at the heel and toe, and whether the originals are still in the shoe.

  • Laces and hardware

    Originals where they survive, stated plainly where they do not.

  • Box and extras

    Listed only when we actually have them.
